Lagos Life needs and decay planner

Compare six need bars using current game values and idle game-time rates. Traits, rewards, sickness and night multiply decay. Work, travel, sleep and active actions have separate effects, so a fixed idle estimate must be recalculated when conditions change.

Read all six needs before choosing

Base losses per game hour: Hunger 5.5, Energy 4, Fun 4.5, Social 3, Hygiene 3.5, Bladder 7. Equal bar values do not mean equal time remaining; these losses are separate from food, sleep or object restoration.

Calculate a useful idle estimate

Idle hours = max(0, current minus target) ÷ effective decay. Energy 50→20 leaves 30 points; rate 4 gives 7.5 game hours; after one unchanged idle hour it is 46. At/below the target the result is zero, not a negative timer or real-time alarm.

Multiply applicable modifiers together

Multiply all applicable factors. Lazy Bone: Energy 0.7; Clean Pikin: Hygiene 0.65; Party Starter: Fun 1.3. Iron Belle: Hunger 0.75; Steel Bladder: Bladder 0.7; Early Bird: Energy 0.75. Never Dull, Clean Freak and Social Butterfly each apply 0.75 to their corresponding need; unowned rewards contribute no factor.

Understand Night Crawler at 04:00

Night Crawler's Energy factor 0.85 applies all day, with extra 0.6 from 20:00 inclusive to 04:00 exclusive. Base 4 gives 3.4 daytime/2.04 night. With Early Bird: 4 × 0.85 × 0.6 × 0.75 = 1.53 at night; exactly 04:00 becomes 2.55. Do not apply 0.85 twice.

Add sickness to the same product

Mild sickness multiplies Energy by 1.3 and Fun by 1.2; serious sickness uses 1.7 and 1.5. Night Crawler + Early Bird + serious sickness gives night Energy decay 1.53 × 1.7 = 2.601. Recalculate for the game status; modifiers do not cure it.

Recheck after work, travel, or restoration

Trekking can reduce Hygiene; Danfo affects Hygiene/Fun; some rides add Fun. Work, sleep, object quality, power and activity speed alter bars separately. Restart the estimate from actual bars after an activity.

Compare stock and reward costs separately

Mama Gold Rice costs ₦550 for four stock units: ₦137.50 each, not 137.5 Hunger restored. Wish rewards use points: Steel Bladder 6, Iron Belle/Early Bird 8 each. They reduce future decay rather than refilling low bars.

Frequently asked questions

Does the planner measure real-world hours?

No. You get idle game hours for the need, the target and the modifiers you select. That estimate is not minutes on a clock, and it does not read your account. Food, sleep, activities, illness and a change between day and night can alter the outcome, so use it to compare a fixed situation rather than schedule a real alarm.

Can I extend one night estimate past 04:00?

Split the estimate when the game reaches 04:00. Night Crawler’s additional night multiplier applies from 20:00 until before 04:00, while its ordinary energy multiplier remains separate. Recalculate for the daytime conditions at that boundary; one fixed night result cannot describe the whole interval if the clock or your activities change.

Does a slower-decay reward refill my needs?

No. A slower-decay reward reduces later loss for the need it affects. It does not add points to an already low bar. Choose an appropriate restoring action, such as food for hunger or sleep for energy, then estimate decay from the updated value with the reward, traits and illness conditions that actually apply.
